Every Chinese New Year, it is a tradition of mine to give to all friends and relatives a lucky little plastic gift, this year is this one.

每年新年我会送亲友们每人一只小吉祥物，今年也不例外，是小金龙。。。

不要误会，只是小型胶质原料的东西。

2nd day of Chinese New Year invited by Chinese Town Hall, and attended. Right infront of the Chinese Town Hall is Penang traditional Chingay performance, and huge dragon display in the front gate.

年初二一早受邀出席槟城华人大会堂大团拜，到会场前，看到我们槟城传统的舞大旗鼓的技术，和会场大门前的摆设。

Nadia Comaneci Words of Courage to help Japanese Friends!

Thank you to Nadia Comaneci for allowing me to print this Sketch of mine on her and words of courage to support fund raising to help the Japanese people. Japanese language has added in. This print will be sold beginning 27 March 2011 in Penang.

今晚去吃素食晚餐時正逢我們檳城慈濟人已經開始募款活動，和請我們寫下寄語給日本慈濟人。母親和我也一同捐款了。而且都寫下我們的祝福語。明天我將家裡的乾淨清潔的棉衣和被單送去檳城慈濟分會靜思堂，這些衣服和其他物品等將在近日內迅速送去日本。這是我自己最多可以做到的。希望大家也加入！

Tonight I went to have my vegetarian food in Pulau Tikuts, our Penang Tsu Chi Foundation people had started fund raising for Japan, and we get to write down notes to send our supports to the Tsu Chi Foundation volunteers in Japan. My mom and I made our donations and also wrote down our words of supports. Tomorrow I will be going to our Tsu Chi Foundation to donate my warm clothings so that they can be sent to Japan to help those who needed. This is what I can do and I hope everyone of you will join us!

Beside donation we get to write in paper to send our support to Tsu Chi people in Japan.

為善不落人後，我81歲的母親寫下她的寄語，旁邊一位70來歲的慈濟老菩薩在觀看，她說來這裡募款4天了，第一次有那麼大年齡的人給日本慈濟人寄語。

Helping people would not count by age, my 81 years old mom wrote down her wishes to Japanese Tsu Chi friends. Observed by a more than 70 years old Tsu Chi volunteers, she said after 4 days of fund raising, this was the first time she had ever seen such an old age of person wrote to support the Tsu Chi people in Japan.

Neoleen Smith and me meet in Nanyang Bookshop

Neoleen Smith knew me through my sketch of Nadia Comaneci words in courage many years ago, we finally met today at Nanyang bookshop which she saw my sketch and inspired her to fight with cancer and won over it, now is her 5th year after her success operation.

My 11 years old student's acrylic painting

When a 10 years old told you that your teaching of drawing is rather boring, what would you do with this very clever and innovative kid?

My answer is then let her have the most fun of it. I gave her the most challenging painting instrument to use and challenge her talent, and let her have the fun of it with painting. This is to use acrylic painting; the result of it, is pretty remarkable. Below are some of her works.

This was Lim Hoon Wei's first class artworks in acrylic color that she submitted to her teacher when she was only 10 years old. Her teacher could not believe she did the work, and asked her many times, until finally posted this painting in the classroom display board. The title the teacher in Penang Chinese Girls' Primary School on this project was "Rain Storm", and the teacher wanted a small painting. Hoon Wei watched a photo of rain storm and did her own artworks with a minor help from me that was on the lady in the middle. The rest of the painting was entirely painted by herself with my technical guidance only.

This painting was also done when Hoon Wei was only 10 years old, she watched a oil painting book and did this acrylic painting.

This was done this year January by Hoon Wei which she watched an oil painting book to paint this acrylic painting.

This year February during Hoon Wei did this poster color painting for her school artworks with her own imagination painting.

This acrylic painting of the sea was done by Hoon Wei with a reference photo from a magazine with some alteration from the original photo including the color. She created herself, this final photo and video recording was done on March 4th, this painting is not completed yet.

朋友們：

在這裡分享我的書法對聯和我獨創的[兩全其美，引福歸來]福字向大家恭賀新年進步，身體健康，事事如意！
這個陣列的揮春是我的馬來西亞著名理髮師朋友Michael依慣例每年會貼出我送的揮春字句在他店門前牆壁上。

這幅國畫是我為母校檳城檳華女子中學建校90週年（孫中山先生支持者陳新政先生以孫中山先生理念創立的女校）繪畫義賣會上被我同學收藏了。畫上的詩句是我自己題的，同學買這幅畫來勉勵她兔年生的兒子。在這裡與大家共勉勵！兔年進步。

P.S. 這幅國畫是受韓劇《風之畫員》的一些影響。

Nadia Comaneci words of courage inspired a cancer patient to win her fight!

Dear Friends,

Yesterday I went to the Nanyang Book Store at Carnavant Street, the lady in charge told me a moving story, she has asked me for an additional copy of print of my sketch of Nadia Comaneci with her words of courage "Do Not Pray For An Easy Life, Pray To Be A Strong Person". This book store has my print hanging right on top of the wall for years. She said an Australian friend of hers when first discovered that she had cancer, she was very depressed and wanted to give up easily, then one day she came into the shop and saw the print and words of courage of Nadia Comaneci. She was inspired, and decided to fight with the cancer, and she had succeded in fighting the cancer and won it for 3 years and she is delighted with that.

I first saw these words in a print of Nadia Comaneci in US back in 1984 when I first arrived to study at University of Minnesota. I bought a few of the print, and always felt these words most suitable for Nadia. Never did I get to know, that these words really came from Nadia Comaneci herself. Nadia Comaneci has personally told me when she was 19 years old she wrote these words in English in Romania for self-motivation, I was very touched and decided to write these words of courage to Nadia's sketch of mine to make into prints with Nadia's personal permission. I thought it could help someone, but never thought it can even safe a life. Thank you to Nadia for your great inspiration!
